"Cuando Puerto Rico comprenda
el valor de su folclor,
luchara' con mucha fuerza
para defender su honor."

Be Part of the Future!!
The Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance & Cultural Center
is one of four active cultural centers on the mainland US affiliated by the
Institute of Puerto Rican Culture for our offering of authentic, high-quality
cultural programming.
From humble beginnings in 1997, our goal was to build a cultural center
that offered world-class Puerto Rican cultural arts education to our
local community and surrounding cities. Today we are one of the few
cultural centers in the country, and the only in all of Texas and our four
surrounding states, offering ongoing performance and educational programs in
the full cross-section of traditional dance, music and culture for children
through adults, as well as a professional-level performing company under one
roof.
Trained by the masters on the Island, we are one of the few on the mainland
US with the expertise to teach and perform the full cross-section
of Puerto Rican folklore. In August 2006, we celebrated the
Grand Opening
of our cultural center's first permanent location!
Our Photo Album
and Reviews page are confirmations of
our quality representation of Puerto Rican culture and accomplishments.
Our goal for the future is to become one of the most respected cultural
centers in the world to learn about and experience all of Puerto Rico's
cultural traditions.
Enjoy the list of accomplishements since our inception, that got us
to this place, and a sampling of our goals for the future.
